Das Verständnis dieses Regelsystems ist essenziell, um die Genese von zahlreichen endokrinologischen Krankheitsbildern zu verstehen und damit die pathophysiologische und pathopsychologische Symptomatik dieser Erkrankungen genauer einordnen zu können. In dieser Arbeit werden die Grundzüge der Hypothalamus-Hypophysen-Neben ieren-Achse beschrieben und anhand dieses Systems die Pathophysiologie des Morbus Addison dargestellt.

Mr Pascal Goetz is a Medical Student and fellowship holder of the e-fellows.net GmbH& Co. KG who was born in 1995 in Hesse, Germany. After passing his A levels, he has studied Business Administration with a focus on Management at a private university in Germany. Parallelly, he has completed his apprenticeship as an Industrial Business Management Assistant with a focus on Global Marketing and Sales at one of the world's leading health suppliers. Thereby, he was awarded for his special exam performance from the German Chamber of commerce and have gained working experiences abroad. Furthermore, Goetz is social- and politically engaged and was a board member of different associations and organisations. He has studied Human Medicine at the German state University of Regensburg. While studying, he has worked as a Student Assistant and Tutor at the Human Anatomy and Embryology Laboratory of Regensburg. After passing the preliminary state examination, he proceeds with his medical study at the prestigious Georg-August-University Göttingen. Currently, he is working on his experimental doctoral thesis under the supervision of Leopoldina member Professor Gaertner.
