Following a new lead on Eris's potential location, Sora's party sets out through the Eld Republic en route to the Black Forest. Unfortunately, Rurika, Chris, and Sera's former home is facing its own set of crises. A rash of mutated monsters threatens an important village festival, and a mysterious disaster has dried up the local reservoirs, forcing a trip through an enigmatic magical wood to find the source. What's more, an unprecedented storm has uncovered a set of ancient ruins that seem to tie in somehow to the mysteries of spirits and elves. Through these ruins, Sora will come even closer to finding out the truth behind this world and the malevolent forces that brought him here!

That was why she was traveling with us now.

After reflecting for a moment on the adventure that had first brought us together, I gave voice to my thoughts. “Mia, have you ever thought about growing out your hair again?”

Her hair used to go all the way down her back, but it was currently cut short. She’d cut it to aid our escape when we’d left the Holy Kingdom’s capital.

Mia looked surprised by
