At first glance, the new Hierophant looked like an ordinary person. That had been Allen’s impression from the moment he’d first laid eyes on them, but looking closer now, he knew without a shadow of a doubt that there was no way they could be human.

“Well, it’s no surprise, but it seems we won’t be having a friendly chat after all. For what it’s worth, I do genuinely intend to treat the two of you cordially.” The new Hierophant shrugged lightly.
