Middle High German“courtship tales” combine a narrative model that recurs in many variations with different versions of the confrontation between Christians and Saracens. The present study analyzes the inter-religious issues exposed in this group of texts from the combined perspectives of narratology and cultural studies, and examines their discursive interconnections.< html>
