He is also the Director of the Swiss Center for Biometrics Research and Testing and a Lecturer at EPFL.

Dr. Mark S. Nixon is a Professor of Computer Vision in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton, UK. He is a co-author of the Springer bookHuman Identification Based on Gait.

Dr. Stan Z. Li is a Professor at the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Director of the Center for Biometrics and Security Research, and Director of the R&D Center for Visual Internet of Things, within the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His numerous publications include the successful Springer titlesHandbook of Face Recognition,Encycloped a of Biometrics,Handbook of Remote Biometrics andMarkov Random Field Modeling in Image Analysis.
