| This edited collection brings together a series of ethnographically grounded studies on sacred and secular pilgrimage from around the world including South America, the Pacific, SE Asia, Europe and the Mediterranean. In this volume pilgrimage is explored as a distinctive form of mobility in the age of globalisation, which emphasises inner transformation.
